Recent research shows that 76% of children want their parents to read to them more frequently. Reading with a parent was the favorite pastime for children 3-8 years, ahead of other forms of entertainment eg watching television and playing video games. But when it comes to story telling, kids want funny voices for different characters and unusual sound effects. 62% of the kids surveyed declared their mother as the best storyteller, with fathers receiving a mere 31% of votes.
