Welcome!

I am pleased to announce that The Glass Table and Shards were launched at the Bologna Children's Book Fair in March 2010. Since then, I have been busy working on my next novel, Rain, which is my first novel for the adult market, and is in fact the first novel I wrote. It has been 'maturing' for the past five years.

Set in provincial Australia in the early sixtiesRain is a multigenerational saga that chronicles the lives of four women from three generations. It explores the often difficult but enduring ties between mothers and daughters, and between men and women—the sacrifices, compromises, and patterns of emotion that repeat themselves through generations.

By chronicling the choices and consequences that comprise one family's history, through a journey that spans four decades, Rain offers a reaffirmation of the force of connection between generations, no matter how hard one might try to abandon the past.

Excerpts will be posted each month commencing August 2010 until publication in November 2010. Read the first excerpt taken from Chapter 2
